The VPA is a state government agency that undertakes strategic planning for designated areas of Victoria for the Minister for Planning. VPA works primarily on long-term strategic planning across a multitude of precincts across Victoria as either the planning authority or to assist local councils.

 

The Open Day Series 2020 will provide an opportunity for students to gain an understanding of what being a strategic planner at the VPA looks like , as well as insight into planning work being undertaken for the Arden urban renewal precinct in North Melbourne. The session will include a project related design activity that allows students to critically engage with the planning issues and opportunities in Arden.
